Highlights from this Summer!

Back home in San Diego it's still PARTY TIME! I partied till I got diaper rash! That's a picture of me "airing out" right before I tinkled on Mommy's rug... will that woman ever learn? I also had to show off my picture courtesy of the SD Fire Department. Coolest truck ever!!
Here I am in Balboa Park- my first carousel ride- Mommy thought that I would love it! To be honest, it was not as magical as she had hoped, but I still look pretty cute don't I. That's also me pushing the silliest little toy at my friend Ky's b-day party. That's also ME (are you beginning to see a trend here) riding my bike with daddy. I love bike rides around the lake and along the boardwalk at the beach. That's a picture of my Uncle T pushing me in a dump truck at Hazards Beach- talk about a wild ride! Check out that pouty face picture of me! I have about a million different facial expressions- this one says- "give me some cheddar goldfish and nobody gets hurt!"

Hot Wheels Really Are Built for Speed

If I look happy here, I truly am! Words cannot express how happy driving this Mini Cooper made me! Reaching the pedals can be a little tricky, so can seeing in my rear view mirrors, but I drive by pure instincts alone. Thanks Uncle Richard for letting me take your Hot Wheels for a spin. Maybe next time I'll let mommy give it a whirl.

My Summer Vacation!!

Let's be honest, living in San Diego, EVERYDAY is like summer vacation! But, it's not everyday that I get to see all my relatives. This July we traveled to Rhode Island to see my Great Grandparents, Grandparents, Cousins, Aunties and Uncles! We splashed in the Atlantic, munched on delicious grilled salmon and played lawn games like boccie. This is a picture of me and my cousin Kristian. He's a little older than I am, but we seem to speak the same language of FUN FUN FUN! Those other Cool Cats are my cousins Connor, Cy, Ali and Caroline. Connor taught me the "high 5!"

My Christening

I was christened last Saturday at Kate Sessions Park here in San Diego. It's a beautiful park with panoramic views of the city, bay and Pacific. I love running up and down the hills! My family shared poems and prayers. Mommy cried because it was so special and beautiful. Here are some pictures, there are more to come though.

Auntie Jocelyn and Uncle Rex are my Godparents now.

Party People!!!

Here are some special moments from my Birthday Party! I had a carnival theme because I live with such a bunch of clowns. Those two cutie pies in the picture are my buddies Diego and Logan. We had snow cones, veggie burgers, and lots of fun playing with my new toys, swing and water table. Mommy made me wear this silly crown. I really felt like a King for a Day! I spent part of the day sitting in my new sandbox eating the calcium carbonate in the sand. It's NOT normal sand. Uncle Kris drove to Orange County to buy ground up marble sand because I didn't want silica dust in my sand. Okay, that was mommy's issue, but either way the sand is PERFECT! As white as sugar and good for you too. Thanks to all my friends for coming to the party!

My Birthday and Other Reasons to Celebrate!

I am so sorry that I haven't posted anything in awhile. We've been soooo busy! This month I turned 1!!! We had a huge party! Lots of my friends came out to celebrate and even my family from back east. My Nono from Virginia even flew out and surprised me. I'm one lucky kid! I love all my new toys, especially my ride on John Deere tractor and my ride on tow truck. Cars are so cool. In fact, making motor sounds is my favorite past time. I also got a green dinosaur rocker! You can see me hugging it in this picture. Now daddy's afraid I'll become a paleontolgist instead of a geologist.
Here are some pictures from birthday. I love my family:) By the way, I weigh 19.4 pounds now. A few more ounces and I'll finally weigh as much as mommy's diaper bag. P.S. Bet you can guess who got me the Lego Airplane...

Luke Walking

Yup! You heard me right! This is a video of me W-A-L-K-I-N-G! It's really quite easy. I don't know what the big deal is. I really prefer it to crawling! And to the panicky grandparents watching this, don't worry I didn't eat a single camellia blossom. My Mommy says that she'll try to capture more "walking" moments on film, but she has a hard time holding the camera AND chasing after me. Full speed ahead! Anyone for a game of tag?

Up Close and Personal

I tried to shoot this video all by myself, but my Mommy kept getting in my way. This will give you a good idea of what I look like up close. If you're really looking hard you might even see the remnants of my lunch, caked to my cheek and eye lid. Remember to leave your comments!

Photos from Arizona

Here are some photo highlights from my trip to Arizona. I only tried to kiss one cactus. I had a great time at the desert museum, in the pool and listening to mariachi music while dining on sliced avocado and refried beans. Mommy wants to change my name to Toot Toot Porter. This snazzy black and white photo is courtesy of Mommy's friend Ms. Amelia. It pretty much sums up everything about me.

Been Too Long

Hi Everyone! I would like to apologize for not posting any new blogs recently. I've been a busy little boy! We had my Nona Chris in town, and we went on a trip to Arizona to visit my Great Grandpa Walter. I thought you might enjoy a little video of me swimming with my Mommy. I am a real fish! I've been practicing my kicking and splashing. I can kinda hold my breath underwater, but I haven't learned how to close my mouth when I go under yet. Pool water doesn't taste very good... trust me. I told my Daddy that when I grow up I want to be a professional surfer or boogie boarder. He just shook his head and sighed. Not sure what that's all about. Splish Splash!

We rode on a boat and saw fairy tale stories.

Day at LegoLand

Daddy took me to LegoLand on Sunday. This is me and a Lego version of R2D2.

Touring around with Auntie Norah

The good lookin' lady in these photos is my Auntie Norah. Sorry to disappoint you fellas but she's in a relationship. I think she's the cat's meow! We went to the beach in Encinitas. My mommy dressed me like a total stud. I got tons of compliments on my new hat, especially from the over 85 crowd. I only ate one handful of sand. The texture actually felt pretty good on my gums since I'm teething. Can you believe I have 6 new teeth coming in! At the same time! And the biggest news of all... I can almost walk all by myself, in fact I can take a few steps without holding on to anything! Good thing these Huggies are extra padded since I fall on my bottom so much(and absorbent too). Where is my endorsement deal for that plug?

Auntie Norah's Visit

My Auntie Norah visited me this weekend! We had a blast! We went to the Del Mar Ugly Dog Show. Can you believe the dogs in these pictures were just the runners up?

Daddy's Little Man

I love my daddy. He's just a big old kid like me. We have so much fun hanging out in the garage together, swinging on the swings and even hiking up Cowles Mountain here in San Diego. The hike was 1.5 miles up hill and my daddy carried me in my Baby Bjorn the whole way! Somebody call the chiropractor!
